Looking Back and Gearing Up for Maryland's Future: Advocating for Equitable Revenues and Resilient Communities
2024 Maryland Nonprofits Advocacy Recharge
Welcome to the 2024 Advocacy Recharge, where dynamic panels and breakout sessions will guide our reflection on key issues from the 2024 Maryland General Assembly session and propel us towards Maryland’s equitable future. Here, we’ll delve into topics such as the impact of state revenue shortfalls, Access to Care and prescription affordability, intersectional workforce development and equal pay, data privacy, housing, poverty, and just communities.
Throughout the event, we'll have the opportunity to hear from advocates, legislators and Cabinet members, gaining valuable insights into making our state's complex systems more accessible to families and individuals. We'll engage in meaningful discussions and Q&A sessions, fostering dialogue that extends beyond advocacy into actionable strategies for progress.
Join us as we come together to take stock of our considerable wins and plan together for next year's priorities. The Advocacy Recharge will also help you gear up for executive branch advocacy as we look to working with the Moore-Miller administration throughout the year.
The Advocacy Recharge is co-convened with the Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY), Maryland Latinos Unidos (MLU), Maryland Philanthropy Network (MPN) and the Maryland Center on Economic Policy (MDCEP).
